Design That Drives Growth

Rhythm Management Group, founded in 2011, provides remote monitoring services for patients with implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and heart-failure monitors. The company partners with cardiology and electrophysiology groups nationwide to deliver timely, data-driven insights that support proactive patient care.

The existing web platform faced several challenges — a fragmented component library slowed development, the interface lacked responsive design, and user adoption rates were low due to inconsistent and unintuitive UX.

The initiative focused on rebuilding the entire design system to ensure scalability, consistency, and development efficiency. The project included extensive research—over 100 interviews and workshops—to understand user behavior and pain points. Using analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings, the team identified friction points and redesigned core user flows to streamline daily operations.

Key updates included a new scalable interface layout, an optimized patient management page, a “Fast Review Mode” enabling batch review of stable patients, and a redesigned patient profile page with historical data visualization. The new design system established a strong foundation for future AI integration and mobile-app expansion.
